Abstract | This knowledge exchange partnership between Manchester Metropolitan University Business School and Groundwork will focus on innovation and business development in the area of energy efficiency. By working together, there will be mutual transfer of knowledge, practical skills and ideas on ways to address the exploitation of knowledge. This will explore potential opportunities for business development of products and services created for energy efficiency. This project will bring new knowledge into Groundwork about business processes and the benefits of new technology, plus how research can support strategic need. Capacity raising at Groundwork will include workshops at MMUs incubator Innospace and at Groundworks offices and Trusts as part of a review of related Groundwork products. MMUBS will carry out research and development activities within Groundwork, mainly with the group working to support energy efficiency initiatives, Groundwork will gain new ideas and processes in business development and greater understanding of research in practice. MMUBS will improve its understanding of the third sector context, develop new models for mapping processes from knowledge identification to marketplace with a case study of energy efficiency. It will also test ideas about organisational culture and the commercialisation of third sector knowledge. |
